My paintings express who I am. They convey where I am in my journey through life. I have been painting since 2002 and have no formal training, but I find that experimenting with colours, techniques and different mediums can take me to a place I haven't been before.

"At times I am compelled to do tremendously detailed work when painting animals and landscapes — at other times I allow my feelings to flow, which can lead to very surprising and rewarding results."

It gives me great pleasure when I am asked to do a painting for someone, especially when I know they are pleased with the result. It means they have allowed me into their lives, if only for a brief moment.

I look forward to continuing my journey as I explore new subjects to capture on canvas — always learning, always feeling, always discovering what a brush and a little courage can create.
